The Rise – Part-1. first, of two parts, the movie depicts the
rise of a coolie in
the smuggling syndicate of red
sandalwood, a rare wood that grows only in the Hills of Andhra
Pradesh.
Pushpa The Rise – Part-1 movie began production in
December 2019 but due to the COVID-19
pandemic was held in March 2020. Filming resumed in November
2020 and was completed in November 2021.
Pushpa The Rise – Part-1 movie was released on 17 December 2021
in Telugu along with dubbed versions in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil,
and Kannada languages.
The movie emerged as the highest-grossing Indian movie in 2021 and ranks
among the highest-grossing Telugu movie of all time.
